CLO 3D Project: Moments in Time

Moments In Time by Madeleine DeMotte is a collection that celebrates simplicity and beauty in small details. Utilizing a minimal color palette, the collection emphasizes silhouette through careful shifts in opacity between sheer and opaque layers, adding depth to each piece.
Sustainability is a key value to Figs and Fortune as a part of our initiative to slow the fashion cycle
and bring value back to the individual garment, especially as we reflect upon moments in time. This
collection then reflects these values in the use of natural and sustainable fibers, including a
cotton/linen blend Cottonworks Twill Pin Stripe Cotton/Linen) and the absence of synthetic dyes.
Inspiration for the collection draws from the movement and texture of linen, limestone, and the
shadows cast by natural foliage. Additionally, design elements are influenced by Korean and
Japanese silhouettes, featuring higher necklines, ties and buttons instead of zippers, and layered
structures that promote a sense of simplicity through modesty.
